Small Doesn't Mean Weak; It Just Means Small

Benevolence Ministry - A ministry to help organize assistance to church members and community members. This ministry focuses on keeping a food pantry well-stocked and provides meals for the sick of the church and by assisting with special needs during times of crisis (i.e. funerals). Building and Grounds Ministry - A ministry which seeks to provide the care and upkeep of the church's properties. Children's Church Ministry - A ministry that provides an age appropriate worship experience for ages 4-10. Children's Church takes place during the "sermon" time of the Sunday Morning Worship Assembly. Communications Ministry - A ministry focused on providing the communications necessary for the church to communicate its activities/events to members and non-members. This ministry includes: Newspaper articles, Church Directory, Changeable Message Sign, Bulletin, Visitor Packets, and Website. Congregational Activities Ministry - A ministry that organizes and promotes fellowship activities/events for different parts of the Church body. Connectivity and Visitation Ministry - A ministry that provides support, encouragement, and follow-up by way of visits, phone-calls, and cards/care-packages to new members, visitors, and missing-in-action members. Dinner Fellowship Ministry - A ministry which seeks to promote fellowship and encourage members to meet new people with a focus on sharing the Gospel with those that might know Christ. Teams work together to host dinners in their homes for other invitees. Prayer Ministry - A ministry that seeks to encourage members to pray for and with other people. The prayer ministry has an active Prayer Chain available for emergencies. Small Group Bible Studies - A ministry that promotes home bible studies in effort to allow people the ability to ask their questions in a less threatening environment. These groups are "outreach" or "evangelistic" in purpose. They are meant to bring new people to Christ. The church offers regular meeting times for Bible Study and Worship for the membership at large (see Home Page for meeting times). Youth Ministry - A ministry at the Petoskey Church of Christ. This ministry seeks to provide spiritual direction to the children of the church. This ministry includes: 1) Bible Classes for all ages, 2) activities/events for elementary, middle school, and high school ages, and 3) Programs that help foster the integration of children into the adult culture of the church and vice-versa.
